Features
T617
Designed to be easy to use in the field, with a large, clear display. It locates and measures bridge taps, splits and resplits, wet cable, opens and shorts and high resistance joints. It is accurate to within 0.5m on short range, features a total range maximum of 20km, and a balance control for elimination of the transmit pulse. 6 pulse widths are auto programmed through range selection. Zoom and Wide or Narrow pulse selection is by direct control for clear fault identification. It has direct keys for common functions and software controls for less common functions. The HELP facility includes a cable library, sample traces, help operating text, long range trace levelling filter for telecomms cables, trace marker feature for multiple cable sections, units adjustment between metres, feet and time, and dielectric type selection between PVF, V and V/2. Battery saving software features auto time outs of the instrument and backlight to give up to 20 hours continuous use. Highly reliable and robust construction comprising surface mount PCB, tough all-weather case, protected LCD, low noise amplifier, and Bicotest's sine-squared output pulses give unrivalled field reliability and long service life.
